Quick and easy outfit today. Feels a bit frivolous talking about clothes with so much going on in the country this week. At any rate, I still need to dress myself. When it's a gazillion degrees out the only things that feel reasonable are the tiniest shorts in the world and a sheer top - basically how little clothes can I possibly wear and still look decent around children/in public. To me white tops, jean shorts, and booties are basics - but these all have a bit of a twist to them.

Hope you're all having a great week. The recent events taking place in the US surrounding the
George Zimmerman trial/acquittal have left many of us saddened and confused. As someone who is of mixed-ethnicity and has experienced my own degree of discrimination in my lifetime, the whole situation is heartbreaking to me and I can't seem to get my mind off of it. Though many are trying to convince us that this wasn't about race, it would be naive of us to believe that notion. Just food for thought. Fashion is fun - don't get me wrong. But I hope this significant event isn't lost on us while we concern ourselves over what to wear.
